11 layer reduction linocut print in an edition of 10. Each layer was carved by hand by the artist in her Los Angeles studio and printed by hand on her etching press. Oil-based ink on Legion Stonehenge cream-toned heavy 250gsm paper with a deckle edge. Signed, numbered, and embossed by the artist. This print is the first in my ongoing Farmer's Market series, a celebration of local and seasonal produce in Southern California. Released in spring, but in anticipation of summer, savor the juicy shine of late afternoon light upon the ripest and brightest of heirloom tomatoes. Long shadows spread across a checkered tablecloth as you gather with friends and loved ones for dinner al-fresco. Glasses will clink, laughter will roll, and the sweet and lightly acidic taste of this iconic fruit (or are you in the vegetable camp?) will linger long past the end of the picnic. Bon appetit.
